Academic Hall of Fame

In 2005, in order to celebrate academic achievement among Nutley’s graduating seniors, the Academic Booster Club, in conjunction with the high school administration, founded the Academic Hall of Fame.

Each year, the top-ten-ranked seniors are ushered into the Hall of Fame at the Senior Academic Awards Ceremony.

Their names are inscribed on a plaque, to be hung in the front hall of the high school, and each student is given an embroidered NHS blanket as a token of appreciation.

National Honor Society Dinner

Every May, juniors around the country are tapped for membership in the National Honor Society.  To celebrate Nutley’s inductees, the Academic Booster Club, along with the Nutley Elks, sponsors an awards dinner for students and their families at the Elks headquarters on Chestnut Street.

Every year the Academic Booster Club awards three scholarships to deserving Nutley High School seniors.
